An affiliate link is a specially tracked URL that tells Amazon (or another retailer) that a visitor arrived from our website. When you click such a link and complete a purchase within the session window, we receive a small referral commission.

This commission is paid by the retailer — not by you. The price of the product is exactly the same whether you use our link or go directly to the retailer's website.

The DU Tech Team is a free resource. We do not charge users for our calculators, reviews, or buying guides. Affiliate commissions are our primary source of revenue and are used to fund:

• Electricity tariff data research across all 28 Indian states
• Website hosting, development, and calculator maintenance
• Compensation for our team of HVAC engineers and analysts

Our affiliate relationships do not influence our editorial content, rankings, or recommendations in any way. We follow a strict separation between our commercial and editorial teams.

Products are ranked based solely on technical merit: ISEER ratings, noise levels, build quality, service network reach, and real-world performance data. A product with a higher affiliate commission rate will never receive a higher ranking because of it.

If we find a product performs poorly in our tests, we will say so — regardless of whether it has an affiliate link or not.
