Panasonic Nanoe-G Technology Explained

How nano particle air purification works in Panasonic ACs · Updated May 2026

What Is Nanoe-G?

Nanoe-G is Panasonic's proprietary air purification technology that releases nano-sized charged particles (approximately 5–20 nanometers) into the air from the AC's discharge vent. These particles are 1/1000th the size of steam particles and travel long distances before bursting — releasing hydroxyl radicals (OH) that neutralize airborne bacteria, viruses, mold, and odors.

In Indian conditions, where indoor air quality in cities like Delhi often exceeds WHO safe limits, Nanoe-G provides meaningful purification without requiring a separate air purifier. The PM2.5 filter on premium Panasonic models captures particulate matter down to 2.5 microns, complementing the nanoe particle action.

Bacteria & Virus Neutralization

OH radicals break down protein structures, reducing airborne bacteria by up to 99% in lab tests.

Odor Removal

Hydroxyl radicals chemically decompose odor molecules from cooking, pets, and smoke.

PM2.5 Filtration

Physical filter captures fine dust, pollen, and pollution particles down to 2.5 microns.

Does Nanoe-G Replace an Air Purifier?

For moderately polluted cities (AQI 150–250), Nanoe-G provides sufficient air quality improvement inside the cooled room. For severe pollution events (AQI 300+), a dedicated HEPA air purifier is still recommended. Nanoe-G works best in enclosed bedrooms up to 150 sq ft where the AC runs 6+ hours daily — exactly the use case for Panasonic 1-ton models.
